This is QUEST's flagship project. Balbhavans are school-supplementary learning centres attached to some Zilla Parishad Schools and some Ashram Schools in Wada Taluka.

Children from Grade 1 to 4 are given inputs in Language and Mathematics after or before school hours, through Balmitra, a specially trained village youth. For the teaching-learning activities, Balmitras are trained to use Maze Pustak, a 16 unit graded series of books for teaching beginning reading-writing, Pustak Peti (library) for language, and Maze Ganit programme for Elementary Mathematics.

Outreach: In 2016-17the total outreach of 3 Balbhavans is 192 children

A recent initiative by QUEST is 'School Support Centres', with level-based inputs for students of Grades 4-7, who have not mastered basic literacy and math skills. QUEST team members provide need-based input to children in an accelerated manner so that their basic mathematical and literacy competencies are enhanced and they can cope with their studies on their own. 'Active Library' activities are also conducted in these School Support Centres. At present, these centres are operating in schools in Uchaat and Devgaon, supported by Mr Ketan Gala.
