Material Development
As part of the project at Sonale supported by Navajbai Ratan Tata Trust, QUEST has undertaken the development of training films for educators and books for beginner readers.
Production of short films to be used in training programmes
QUEST has successfully developed the Balbhavan model on a small scale. It has been observed during this development that training of Balmitras is one of the most crucial aspects of the model. Looking at the scarcity of appropriate resource material for training, QUEST has produced educational films.
Films on the following topics have been made:
Film 1 - The concept of Balbhavan
Film 2 - Overview of Maze Pustak
Films 3 to 8 - Theories and strategies for teaching beginning reading writing (Module 1-6)
