Proposed projects

Rapport developed with the local communities; the results from the present programmes and the need shared by the various stakeholders have spurred QUEST to propose the following programmes:

1.  Education on wheels

To expand the scope of present work as well as reach out to neighbouring villages, education on wheels is proposed. As part of this; vehicles equipped with computers, school laboratories and library would travel to remote villages and tribal hamlets at regular intervals since the same is typically lacking. These mobile vans would overcome this lack and make optimum use of resources.

2. Development of graded tests

It would not be incorrect to state that there is no official data regarding the education attainment levels of school children in India. QUEST would develop graded tests to assess educational attainment levels of school children. This scientifically collected data would help in furthering research in pedagogy.

3. Development of education material

Apart from the “Maze Pustak” series, QUEST proposes to develop educational material and teaching learning material aids.

4. Teacher resource and support centre

Teacher resource and support centre is a proposed programme for supporting government and private school teachers in widening their perspective on education and pedagogy.

5. Mathematics support centre

The proposed Mathematics support centre would be a special centre to support Mathematics teaching and learning for rural children.
